We sat down with Nadia our Social Media and Marketing Assistant, who just so happens to be Gen Z to find out her opinions on all things marketing!
What is your favourite brand campaign at the moment?

The Ordinary OOH Campaign, as it showcases that not all products need frills and nonsense. My favourite ad from the campaign said “People find it odd that we don't name our products. We tried it once. But scientists are terrible copywriters. So we stuck with Hyaluronic Acid” Lol!
What is your dream marketing partnership?

I'm envisioning a brand collaboration between Ben & Jerry’s and Blank Street Coffee, inspired by the fact that matcha often gets compared to the taste of grass. Using Ben & Jerry’s recognisable cow branding at the forefront of the campaign, I would introduce a matcha-flavoured ice cream that adds a fun twist to the traditional flavour and call it the perfect ‘Match(a)-rimony’.
What's one thing you would tell brands to be doing in 2024?

I would urge brands to tap into the experiential marketing and events space. Experiences are becoming more important to consumers as we move to a more digital world.
According to a survey by Eventbrite, 98% of consumers are more likely to purchase a product or service after attending an event or experience. This coupled with the shareability of IRL events and experiences creates the perfect recipe for marketing success.
